We believe in the triune God -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; in the reality of angels both holy and evil; in the sinful nature of man since the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden; in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ and His perfect, virgin-born humanity; His substitutionary death for our sins, His "Having made peace through the blood of His cross" (Col. 1:20a); His burial, and His resurrection again from the dead; salvation by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8-9) for whomever will believe in Jesus Christ (John 3:16; Acts 16:31); in the bodily resurrection of the dead; in the return of the Lord Jesus Christ to take His Church to be with Himself; and His future, second advent to earth to take dominion in glory, truth, peace, and righteousness.
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are divinely inspired and inerrant in the original autographs and are the basis of the Christian faith and practice.
Our Basic Tenets:
Christ Jesus of Nazareth is the Head of the church and has preeminence in all things (Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18). He is the Savior (1 John 4:14), Good Shepherd (John 10:11-14), and Overseer of our souls (1 Peter 2:25).
The polity of this Church, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, is vested in the body of believers who compose it. The Church is led and administered through its chosen representatives. This Church shall remain an autonomous local church in terms of ecclesiastical polity, but recognizes our reception of, fellowship with, and love for any Christian church that "abideth in the doctrine of Christ" (II John 7-11 and John 13:34,35).
The financial policy of this Church is based on the biblical principle of grace (2 Corinthians 9:7-8). All giving to this Church shall be each individual's own private motivation before God. No percentage is required or suggested.
Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic [universal] church; the communion of saints: the forgiveness of sins: the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Creed of the Council of Nicaea
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of all that is, seen, and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, begotten of the Father as Only begotten, that is, from the substance of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being [Greek: homoousios] with the Father. Through him all things were made, things in heaven and things on earth. For us and for our salvation He came down. He became incarnate and was made man, and suffered. On the third day, he rose again; He ascended into heaven. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit.
